Customization Process

Hello, potential customizer,

Basis offers the option to customize the interior of your bag(s) for minimal consideration. This is not True Bespoke, but it comes pretty damned close.

This page will outline and guide you through the customization process for our bags. Please note that because we hand-craft every bag that we sell, and because our craftsmen are human too, customized orders will take up to 14 working days to be delivered to your doorstep.

Step 1: INTERIOR

All Basis bags come in a default ‘Bucket’ configuration, with one wall zipper on the back wall, and 2 wall pockets on the front. We offer the option to add:

• A central divider down the length of the bag ($X)
• Zipper Pockets – Customize your length and depth! ($X)
• Wall Pockets – Customize your length and depth! ($X)

Please note that changing the location and/or size of the existing zipper/wall pockets within the ‘Bucket’ configuration also counts as customizing.

Step 2: EXTERIOR

• Initials – Take customizability to the next step and make your Basis bag truly your own. Brand ($X) or Stitch ($Y) your initials (limit X characters) on any of the locations illustrated below:

• Centre of bag flap ($X or $Y)+10)
• All other locations ($X or $Y)

Step 3: EMAIL!

After you’ve decided on your customization options, drop us a mail at [email] BEFORE checking out. Our team will get in contact with you to confirm your customizations and to present to you a separate invoice for your order, payable via PayPal.

Basis also offers the option of utilizing the trendy concept of a “Cooling-Off Period” of 72 hours because the dizzying array of choices available does tend to get to one’s head.

Step 4: MAKE PAYMENT; TWIDDLE THUMBS

The crafting of your customized order will only begin after receipt of payment. Should there be no payment received within 72 hours of our invoice being issued, your customization order will be cancelled and you will be delivered the bag you originally purchased in the default Bucket configuration. No appeals will be considered.

Tough cow hide with a coated finish, this handsome 15.7” x 3.5” x 12” with a 2” drop, mark the beginnings of its own dynasty. Are you enough of a Rebel Gent to handle the nobility of the Louis? Yes, you say? Oh sure you are.

Available in Dark Espresso Brown (full grain, coated) and Dark Mustard Yellow (uncoated; top grain)

1)Hand-Crafted

NEPALESE HANDS

Our products are all hand-crafted by our craftsmen in Nepal, not by an industrial machine, and this accounts for the minute variances from product to product, as well as the fact that our products are extremely limited.

Leather is not homogeneous, and therefore the occasional blemish or variance in colour is normal and is not counted as a product defect. Irregularities in the consistency of the softer leather types are natural, and reflect its depth of character and beauty.

2) Care

• Wipe down with clean dry cotton or microfibre cloth after use
• Replace stuffing when not in use for long periods
• Clean with pH neutral, water-based leather cleaner (when soiled or before conditioning)
• Condition with pH neutral, water-based leather conditioner (2-3/year)
